【英語】 “Anmitsu” : 日本の伝統の甘味、あんみつで涼しくなりましょう!
“Anmitsu” is a traditional Japanese desert, particularly enjoyed during the summer for a number of decades. Typical “Anmitsu” is made of the followings, served together in a bowl, with “Kuromitsu”, sweet black syrup, poured over the bowl.
あんみつは、特に夏の風物詩として何十年も親しまれてき日本の甘味です。 一般的に以下のものを器に盛り、黒蜜をかけたデザートです。
さいの目状に切った寒天 | small cubes of “Kanten”, agar jelly, which is a pure form of gelatin made from red seaweed |
赤エンドウ豆 | cooked red peas |
小豆あん | “Azuki Anko”, sweet red bean paste |
白玉団子 | “Shiaratama Dango”, sweet dumplings made of sweet rice flour called “Shiratamako” |
ミカン等のフルーツ | fruit such as Japanese orange, cherry, etc. |
A scoop of ice cream is quite frequently added to “Anmitsu”on the top, as seen in the picture below, which is sometimes called “Cream Anmitsu”.
また、写真のように、アイスクリームが載せられることも多く、クリームあんみつと呼ばれています。
